What’s all the hoopla about?

HOBY Maine 2009 of course! In 3 days – 14 hours and 29 minutes a new batch of unsuspecting high school sophomores will embark on a weekend-long adventure that will change their lives. Final preparations are feverishly underway, checklists are being made, candy and caffeinated sodas are being procured as Senior and Junior staff get ready.

This time next week we will have added 50 more outstanding leaders to our alumni ranks and planning can begin for our first HOBY Maine Alumni Reunion Dance Party – perhaps we will finally get that dance off between Justin and Jibran we’ve been waiting for!

Stay tuned for how you can get involved! Oh, and if you could all do a little anti-rain dance for this weekend it would be greatly appreciated!

T-shirt design’s needed

We need you to get inspired and creative and help us design some fun t-shirts to sell at the HOBY store after the 2009 seminar and at events throughout the year.  Think back to your cheers – dig out some leadership quotes – mock up your ideas and send them to Sydney by March 30th.  Email her at hobymevolunteers@gmail.com or contact her for the snail mail address.  Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Junior Volunteer Applications due Saturday, February 28th

We need your ideas!

We want to have a big fundraiser in Saco at People’s Choice Bank.  The area
is free for non-profits to use, but we need ideas on what to fill the space
with.

Think Big – think Simple – Think Outstanding!  Let us know here what you come up with!!!
